I really enjoyed seeing and visiting with fellow classmates. We had a pretty fair turnout friday nite. I was unable to attend Saturday, but heard a few more showed up that weren't there the first nite. Everyone had a great time and I thank those that put in the time to organize.....great job! Wallace Highschool Star Pat Sprute

1968 WHS grad Pat Sprute passed last weekend. Pat was one of the better athletes from Wallace. I played football and basketball against him all through highschool. He went on to play college football at the University of Idaho and worked for many years until his retirement from Washington Water Powe...

Homerun Derby

A game we played when a kid in Smelterville was homerun derby with rocks. There was a pond just to the north of the old little league field at the end of town in Smelterville. You had to throw up a rock and hit it over the pond. If you whiffed or didn't get it over the pond it was an out. Some playe...

Reunion Set

Here is a portion of a letter I recently received: The 40th Class Reunion of the KHS Class of "68" is scheduled for August 1st and 2nd. We have decided to have a laid back reunion this year with informal social hours planned for both nights at Noahs at the gondola base. We will have an hor...

I wonder who took Travis under his wing when he was only a puppy? Watching him evolve from a skinny little kid beating balls on the driving range at Pinehurst to where he is now makes me proud to have been a part of his life career in the early stages. Go Trav Go!!!

Joke timing!

Since out 40 year class reunion is scheduled for this summer, here is an appropriate joke:

Getting old is so hard at times. Yesterday I got my Preparation H mixed up with my Poli-Grip...NOW, I talk like an asshole...but my gums don't itch!

Lady Golfers

Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. The ball hit one of the men. He immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed d...

I might be mistaken, but didn't Sheldon win both the 3 point and slam dunk contests at the allstar game in Mullan. What a gentleman, athlete and sportsman....such a loss.

The freight train used to leave Kellogg every morning for Spokane. The conductor would let me ride as far as the depot at Enaville where I would get off and fish Bear Cr. all day. The old guy at Brandons store in Enaville would give me a candybar or soda for a couple fish. When the train returned in...

Yes Vicki, I remember the Miners Hat. Do you, or anyone else remember the name of the grocery store on Riverside across from the Sunnyside school playground? Panhandle Health now occupies that building.....I grew up in that neighborhood and remember it well, it's where I used to trade in pop bottles...

Simon.....remember several years ago Travis and I were walking down the middle of the 10th fairway at Shoshone during the Miller Cup matches. We were all serious and concentrating on our bestball match and looked over to see you standing on the edge of the fairway in the gallery. You proceeded to gi...
