Overlooking the Washington Huskies Football Schedule for this season, which is ranked the #1 toughest in the nation by every magazine/article I have read, which week do you finally see them getting a win? Can you say 0-8? They could lose every game until possibly at Stanford in Week 9. If they don’t beat Syracuse or Boise St., there is a real good chance that this could happen. I am really hoping so… Go Cougs!!!

Week 1 at Syracuse
Week 2 vs. Boise State
Week 3 vs. Ohio State
Week 4 at UCLA
Week 5 vs. USC
Week 6 at Arizona State
Week 7 vs. Oregon
Week 8 vs. Arizona
Week 9 at Stanford
Week 10 at Oregon State
Week 11 vs. California
Week 12 vs. Washington State
Week 13 at Hawaii

0-13? I could see it happening.

The Official Coaches Poll came out today and here is the top 25 and a few notable teams receiving votes:

1. USC
2. LSU
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Michigan
6. West Virginia
7. Wisconsin
8. Oklahoma
9. Virginia Tech
10. Ohio State
11. Louisville
12. California
13. Georgia
14. Auburn
15. Tennessee
16. Rutgers
17. UCLA
18. Penn State
19. Nebraska
20. Arkansas
21. Florida State
22. TCU
23. Boise State
24. Hawaii
25. Texas A&M

Notable Others Receiving Votes: Miami – 91, Notre Dame – 90, Oregon State – 52, Washington State – 1. And in a huge shocker Duke actually got 1 vote. No kidding. Which ever coach actually voted for Duke as the 25th best team in the nation in football needs to get their voting privileges taken away.

The bright side, Vandal fans will get to see their Alma Mater hit the gridiron on national TV. lol
LOL Golf Coach... I just can't wait to see the point spread on this game. Is it possible for USC to be favored by 60+ points? My guess is:

USC 77 Idaho 7
Well, the official opening line on this game is out. USC is favored by 44 points. If I was a betting man, I would put some money down on this that USC covers the spread. Heck, I predicted a 70 point victory by the Trojans... Hopefully the Vandals will prove me wrong...

By the way... Here are a few more opening lines for the opening week of the college football season

Notre Dame is favored by 3 at home vs. Georgia Tech

Washington State is a 14 point underdog at #7 ranked Wisconsin

The Washington Huskies are actually a 3 and a half point favorite at Syracuse

To answer your question about Duke getting a vote, it is the "Evil Genius" Steve Spurrier that votes for them in every pre season poll.

I don't like Steve Spurrier. Especially when he was at Florida... All of a sudden that Notre Dame vs. Duke game turned into a big one as Steve Spurrier thinks that Duke is the 25th best team in the nation and he doesn't think Notre Dame is worthy of being in the Top 25. LOL. What a moron...

A little over 29 hours until Washington State takes USC behind the wood shed and gives them a whoopin' like they haven't seen in many years... Okay, one can dream can't they... I just hope they make it a respectable game... GO COUGS!!!

Ken, your Colorado Buffalos sure pulled off a big one this past weekend. Holy cow. Oklahoma was looking so tough this year until this. Way to go. Everytime Oklahoma loses in football is a great day for me...

Casey,

Yea that was a huge win for the Buffs program! They are a very young team and will once again get back to the top tier of College Football teams. With this win, it makes me look forward to the CU/Nebraska game even more!!!
