Gonzaga schedule

Post by Brian Stovern »

Just found a cool link on yahoo sports. If you go to your favorite team there is a link about half way down for schedule. there are several options, but the one I used was iCal. save it to your desktop, and then you can import it into you Outlook calendar. Works pretty slick. Of course I might be the only one here who schedules everything on their Outlook calendar :-)

Outlook is now officially my only ability to remember appointments and organize my life. That portion of my brain no longer functions.

Outlook is the only reason I make it anywhere when I'm supposed to. I even synch it to my cell phone to keep me on time when I'm away from my computer.

I can't even hardly write with a pencil or pen any more because of it. Love Outlook.

I'm just sitting here listening to my 8-track tape, while I talk on my rotary phone, and type on my typewriter.

I do try to keep a positive outlook, though.

Ken (Hi, I'm Laurie, nice to meet you) and my fifth brother, Simon,

I'm so glad I could bring some laughter to your day. I've got a couple of brilliant students this year who find my humor far, far beneath them, so I needed the positive feedback!

For those of you who enjoy, as I do, keeping track of such things, two former Kellogg coaches meet up again tonight down here in the south. The Timberline Wolves, coached by David Roberts, travel to Mountain Home, where Tony Kerfoot has the helm. I'm going to miss this one, but I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the update Laurie. Since you aren't going to be there, Rena Kerfoot will probably be the only one in the crowd who realizes the significance of two great former KHS Coaches going head-to-head. Please let us know the score tomorrow.

These kids these days just dont know how nice they have it compared to when we were kids. And i am talking about 8 track players compared to iPods?? hahaha. technology is a wonderful thing

Timberline v. Mountain Home:

"The Wolves pulled away in the second half in a non-conference opener characterized by aggressive play, fouls and turnovers. Timberline's defense and high scoring third and fourth quarters secured the win. Mountain Home was out-rebounded 58 to 38 and shot just 24% FG. Timberline wins 72-45"

Ken--don't get me started on kids and technology. I don't want to be one of those old grouchy teachers who is always saying "kids these days . . . ." I really do enjoy more than 90% of my students, as I did for my 15 years teaching and coaching in Kellogg. But it both frustrates and amuses me that kids say to me "how do you expect me to get through the hour without texting?"

Oh my gosh--I am so not going to read that message! Then again, if I don't learn to communicate that way, maybe I'll be out of a job in a few years.

This is an absolute classic Golf Coach...

Text messaging may as well be its own language. Next time I go to Mexico, I will ask someone, "Do you speak Text Message?"
