JohnJacobDorgenheimerschmidt,

I was going to post this song 2 days ago. I just couldn't find a video for it. I love this song. Every time I listen to Alice, I think of you and Doug and all the good times we had.

For today's vid, I think I will go to the wuss section again. I'm sorry. I just love this song.

SOOO much to catch up on! Hank, what a great thread!!! 8) I think we all are having so much fun with this one. (music is the window into the soul). O.K.

Dorg, nice tribute vid!!! I love it.

Hank, sorry, never been a toto fan...

I love the men at work. I've been trying to get my kids to listen to them and Midnight Oil. I know, it's a political thing. (did you know the lead singer of MO is a rep for the aussie's now)

Ken, you have too much time on your hands, however there are some nice vids there. I love Ozzy. In fact your vids are influencing my opinion of newer bands vids. The old school stuff took more work and with what they had to work with are more impressive. I expect more from bands today, like mudvane. As for kid rock, I like some can leave others. I will always apprieciate him for his live perfomance in the wake of lipsinking (sp on purpose) on the music awards. He ROCKED, LIVE!!! He proved it just took more work to make it live and still be good. Plus I love his song with Crow.

Ken AC/DC rocks!

Simon, I know what you are saying, however, control is a talent (metalica, queenryche) and passion is a driver. I go with hank on this one, but I think it's on a Danzig level. Either you find a voice in it or not. It's not like you have to be demonic, it's more like you not conforming. :? whol knows.

As for sappy...when I see this seen I think of my hommies by the radiator unerneath the stairwell at K-town...

It's definately a Beer Song!!!

Hide the women and children. Here come Lemmy and the boys. This is my favorite Motorhead song. These guys aren't for everyone. Just cool people!
I am sorry I couldn't find a video.

So, anybody got any WASP out there?
Heck, I can look past the whole masks etc stuff. That actually doesn't bother me. I listened to both the live version and the studio version and I agree with you about saying they aren't for everybody Morgs, because this just doesn't do anything for me. But I have to give props to the sick double bass drum action. And although the guitars are completely non-melodic, musically these guys are tight.

But as far as the style, I just don't dig it.

To each his/her own! That is the beauty of different tastes and preferences.

Control is a talent? Passion is a driver? Like I said in response to Morg's post. (which I thought was good) I listened to both the Studio version and the Live version of that song and personally the first thing that came to my mind wasn't passion. lol

Again the double bass work on that song is mind blowing, and the guitars are impressively driving and intense. But beyond that... listening to a guy in a mask scream at the top of his lungs does nothing for me. I guess that would put me in the "wuss" category. :D Which I am completely fine with. lol

Talk about the wuss category Simon, I just put on Neil Diamond, but I still love that song. And remember, Hank ripped me one a while back because I liked Moby.

To be ripped by Hank is a compliment. It shows that he loves you. If he didn't say anything at all... well, then you should worry.

Those links you just posted are the coolest thing I have seen in a long, long time.

You buttburgerler Nordin! 'Feels so good' was very soon coming from me. I have loved that song forever. I kind of forgot about it then King of the Hill has Chuck Mangione on there all the time and I remembered. I wanted to blow Sab's mind with that pick. Guess I'll just post some Norwegian death metal instead.

edited to add that I LOVE who posted that vid on youtube!!

Maynard Ferguson. Tears of joy are flowing from my eyes as I type this. Wow. Embeshure of STEEL and control of the air like NO other.

Slipknot to Chuck Mangione to Maynard Ferguson to Ice Cube. Absolutely brilliant.

I just spent 2+ hours watching music videos on YouTube.

Simon,

I remember my brother playing along to Chuck M. records on his trumpet for hours on end growing up. Awsome. I will post one more video this evening, but I will preface it with this. If you don't like old school Glen D., don't watch it. Classic.
