The Joker was a sweet call JJ. Reminds me of CJ every time I hear it.

I don't think I have relayed this story yet. I was in Vegas this spring for the Monster Jam World Finals. ( Even if you don't like Jam, the trip is worth it. Good times.) So anyhoo, I am on a late night blackjack and gin binge at the Hilton. I am doing ok, just treading water. There is some sort of rock show there. It is about 1 or 3 am and everyone files out of the show. I am still sitting there pounding gin and tonics. About a half hour after everyone leaves, out walks out..........DEE FREAKIN SNYDER!!! He walks by and goes into this club right by my table. I shove all my chips in and the dude I am playing with splits queens and I lose about 150. I didn't care. I jump up and go to the club. On stage are about 4 unbelievable chicks in their drawers singing. I didn't care. Dee is standing there. I go up to him and introduce myself. He was the nicest dude in the world. I tell him my 7 year old daughter has Stay Hungry on her mp3 player and listens to it all the time. Then he spoke these immortal words to me, "Raise them on rock brother." I didn't have a camera or anything. I said my goodbye as not to bug the legend and stumbled back to my room. It was sweet.

JJ Grey is the lead singer and Mofro is the band. I watched them in Sandpoint, and they are good.

A good chill band.

Love Fu Manchu. I am going to post one more JJ Grey and MOFRO song, I love these guys, not just cause of the name. One of the best live bands I have heard in a long time. They played this song an encore, and I almost got misty. If you get the chance to see them live, do it.
