Robert Nicholas Laskey

Robert “Nick” Nicholas Laskey, 60, of Kellogg, passed away Sept. 28, 2009, at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born Jan. 7, 1949, in Wallace; Nick was the son of Robert and Winnie (Lennon) Laskey.
Nick has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School in 1967. Nick served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.
Nick was a truck driver in the field of construction. He had worked for Zanetti Brothers for many years. And most recently he had worked for Orton Contractors.
Nick loved and enjoyed his granddaughters, his dog — Woody, fishing and hunting; he loved the outdoors.
He is survived by one daughter — Bridget Laskey of Coeur d’ Alene; one son — Josh Laskey of Coeur d’ Alene; two granddaughters — Ireland and Nevaeh; one sister — Susan Webb of Kellogg; several cousins, nieces and nephews, including his nephew — Andy Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Cremation was held and memorial services will be held on Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Kellogg. Inurnment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital of Spokane.
