HAPPY BIRTHDAY LR!

Post by Simon Miller »

LR, Coach Roberts, "Low-ee,"

Very happy birthday wishes to a KHS Grad, former teacher, and former KHS coach.

The moniker "multi-talented" doesn't adequately describe your gifts.

Have a great day and many blessed returns, my friend.

Have one at Starbucks for me!

Happy B-day Laurie... Today must be the anniversary of the last KHS State Basketball Title. I believe you said you were born on the same day... Have a good one.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes everyone! It's been a stellar day, with so many generous gifts and wishes.

Good memory, Casey...almost. I wish I'd been born on the actual day of the last Kellogg boys' state bball title, but when I asked Donnie Haynes (the coach) about it a few years ago, he said he believed they won it about a week later. Still, it was the same year, so for anyone doing the math, it's been 43 years since we've won that title. There have been several woulda, coulda, shoulda years since then, but particularly 1981, 1989, 1995, and 1996 (in my estimation).

Well, at least it was within the week, which is still pretty cool.
