Yep, it was '78, the first team to go to state since the Wildcats won the whole thing in 1964 (the year Gwen and I were born).

I figured that was the '78 squad. Thank you for re-assuring me. My favorite hair in that picture has to be Thane Sevier (Back left). That is one heck of a permed mullet.

I didn't think of it until I looked at the picture again. Alex wears #20 now (and he will in baseball too). He really liked Paul when he took Driver's Ed, but I don't think he knew Paul wore #20.

That's cool that Alex got to know Paul. He is still one of best athletes I've ever seen--even nearing 50 these days. It's cool to see him looking so happy in that bball photo.

My cousin Ted lives and works in the Post Falls area, and he has two sons who are high school age. The last time I saw them they had hair like their dad's was in high school!

Well, I have an off-site meeting all afternoon and will not be able to follow any updates during the game today if they are on here. But I just wanted to say, "Go Wildcats!!! Bring it Home!!!"

I'm sitting in my classroom, about an hour and 15 minutes from game time, wishing Boise was just a little closer to Middleton. I'll miss the first quarter--maybe the first half of the game, but once I get there, I'll try to represent everyone who couldn't make it down.

Simon just e-mailed from Middleton. He said Bonners Ferry was up 33-9 on Filer at half time. Filer is the team that won the district IV crown (the district that #1 ranked Kimberly is in). He tought BF drew a pretty sweet first game.
I'll let you know if I get more info. I will also be listening to the game on KWAL, so I will post updates as well.
Go WILDCATS!
:D

The score remains Kellogg 18, Sugar-Salem 16 at the half.
Simon says Amanda had two fouls early and so sat out the second quarter. He says Hailey Fuller stepped up BIG. So far, at least 10 of the Wildcats have seen action from what I've heard on the radio.
