Favre just singlehandedly killed the Seahawks. Nice arm tackle too.

If they don't adjust in the next two series it's over. I'd bring everyone but grandma on defense and run and gun on offense. That's what the pack are doing to the hawks right now, and it's working.
It's all good, I have Moose Drool to keep me comfort.

Well, I think that was the last nail, 35-17, the Pack are running over the hawks at will.

"I don't see brett and co. scoring more that 21" some idiot posted this earlier. Come on, it's brett at home in the snow in a playoff game, who do you think is going to win.

Shaun Alexander 9 attempts 20 yrds 2.2 ave. "If we can 4.5 yards per carry on top of that it will be a lock." Now, who ever said this was a genius!

they played like a bunch of girls!! They did not come to play. they give us a false sense of hope with two early touchdowns and then do a darn thing the rest of the way? they sure need to tweak the team some next year, they need MORE of a running game and Matt needs to get more consistent like he was ther Super Bowl year

I take exception with that "played like girls" remark. I played pretty darn well when I was a kid. I was the only kid on the block who had their own football uniform (shoulder pads, padded pants, helmet...the whole works).
Some girls play great football.

Anyone watch the G-Men vs. Favres boys yesterday? Great game in brutal conditions.

Once again, the team that established control of the line of scrimmage won the game. Although Shaun Alexander obviously isn't the same back he was in '05, I still believe the crux of the Seahawks' problem is in the offensive line. If they don't get a running game, it won't matter who you put back there.

With that being said, I fear that Alexander's glory days might be behind him. Jonathan Stewart from Oregon might be a good addition, but only if they bolster the O-Line again.

Will it be Mora next year? Or does Holmgren come back for the last year of his contract?

I heard that Holmgren may announce his decision today. Rumor has it that he may be leaving...

I agree 100% that they need some better O-linemen. Sims & Spencer are average at best. Gray is like 90 years old, Locklear is a free-agent, and even big Walter Jones is getting a little older. They are a mess. This needs to be addressed along with re-signing Trufant and Hacket to long-term deals. They also need to draft a big, run stopping Defensive tackle.

I dont think Holmgren will leave. I was reading truth & rumors on CNNSI and he was saying they need to address the running back situation. Look for them to maybe make a move up in the draft to get a big name running back. They may ask Shaun to take a paycut.

Holmgren comes back for one last Hoorah, and Mora takes over the following year.

But i kind of disagree with the no matter who u put back there somewhat. Mo Morris ran good back there, because he could hit the holes. Shaun is too passive to get thru the line. I do agree they need an improved offensive line, but we need a big strong agreesive running back that isnt afraid to get hurt.

I agree more with ken on this. Shaun is a major problem. I don't know what they will do with him, but they will have to eat that salary unless some team out there is desperate and wants to take a chance. An o-line isn't just about talent, it's about talent+chemistry (which the hawks do have)+ coaching. I stand fast on the idea that the greenbay game was lost because of poor out put by shaun (they should have just used morris) and poor coaching. I kink of wish holmgren would go. I think he is a great coach but he is in a rut as far as play calling.
Other than that, my attempt at armchair quarterbacking, I really don't know what to do.

DUMP THE WHOLE OFFENSE, DUMP THE COACHING STAFF, AND SIGN TRUFFANT TO A FIVE YEAR CONTRACT???? GO DEFENSE OR GO HOME!

i agree Mike. Holmgren's play calling has been suspect the last couple of years, so dang predictable. When i can sit here and watch them in my living room and know exactly what play they are claling in the red zone, then the other team knows what they will do. Matty needs to step up. He is an above average quarteback, and really needs to make better passes and better decisions. Your coach is only going to be as good as your quarterback. Once Matt can figure things out, the Seahawks will be alright. Just look at the games the played well in, Matty played great, when they were mediocre, he was mediocre.

That is a big one Ken... In addition to Zorn, Seattle booted the 'Skins out of the playoffs two of the last three years as well... Also, it will be sweet to see the Patriots come to Seattle. This game is on Sunday Night Football with Michaels and Madden...
