Nice one Roops. I can't believe how big of a deal they made out of this when it happened.Jason Spoor wrote:January 9th, 2005 - Randy Moss (Minnesota Vikings) pretended to pull down his pants and moon the Green Bay Packer crowd during a playoff win. On January 13 the NFL fined Moss $10,000 for the act.

And just think... Only 47 years later, which is not that many years, Alex Rodriguez makes this much money in two at-bats in a game.Jason Spoor wrote:January 16th, 1961 - Mickey Mantle signed a contract which made him the highest paid baseball player in the American League at $75,000 for the 1961 season.

It has really gotten ridiculous with these salaries in these sports.Casey Fisher wrote:And just think... Here is roughly what A-Rod makes based on his $28 Million per season salary:
$172,839 per game
$38,408 per at-bat
$19,204 per inning
$6,401 per out
In summary, if the dude goes up to the plate and strikes out on 3 pitches, or grounds out on the first pitch, he makes more money than most Americans make in a whole year of work...
Or if you go to Safeco and watch him play a 3-game series against the M's, we are paying $150 for tickets, $7.50 for a cold beverage, and $5.00 for a hot dog, and A-Rod is making over $500,000 in those 3 days... Something is wrong with our society...
