Greetings
I thought I'd update you on our Lady Wildcat Soccer team. This team is only in it's second year of existence. Last season they won one match by defeating the Priest River Spartans at home.

This season has been a far different story. Kellogg has defeated Bonners Ferry twice, Priest River twice, the Lakeland JV team twice and tied with St. Maries once (they lost once to St. Maries and twice to Orofino). So, they headed into the District tournament on Friday afternoon as the 3rd seed. They earned a birth to the District I Championship game on Saturday by defeating St. Maries 2-1 on Friday afternoon. They did fall to Orofino on Saturday by a score of 3-0, but earned 2nd place in the District!

Next Saturday (October 13), they will travel to Lewiston for a state play-in game with the District 3 runner-up. So, in only their second season, the Lady Wildcats are looking for their first birth to the State tournament.

Best of Luck Wildcats! and... On to State!

The Wildcats fell to the Payette Pirates in Lewiston on Saturday by the score of 4-0. So, their hopes for a State Tournament birth were squashed for this season. Still, it's an amazing feat to be 2nd in the District in their second season. Way to go Wildcat Soccer!
