Linda Lee McKinley, 65, a longtime Kellogg resident passed away on May 4, 2010, at her home in Kellogg.

Linda was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Kellogg, the daughter of Jack and Shirley (Poulsen) Carney. She graduated from Kellogg High School class of 1963 and received her associates degree from Kinman Business College of Spokane.

Linda worked as a medical transcriptionist for Shoshone Medical Center and for Mountain Health Care. She was a member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge No. 1841 and the Kingston Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed Friday night darts at the Elks.

Linda married Tom McKinley on Feb. 15, 1973, in Kellogg.

She is survived by her husband, Tom, of the family home in Kellogg; four children and spouses: Lisa and Mark Stoker, Kingston, Stacey and Terry Douglas, Kellogg, Kevin and Tina Viche, Kellogg, Mark and Manda McKinley, Kingston; 12 grand-children: Melissa, Courtney, Kacie, Jenni, Chad, Bryce, Derrick, Robert, Kirsten, Landon and Trent and Payton and their mother Jenna; two great-grandchildren; father, Jack Carney, Kellogg; one brother, Dan Carney, Spokane; one sister, Cindy Elfsten, Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, grandparents and Joey.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View Congregational Church of Kellogg, with Pastor Gordon Mills officiating. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Kellogg.

Memorials may be given to: Kellogg Elks Lodge or Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way, Hayden ID 83835.
