I just saw Rush in Vancouver Sat. night. I've seen a lot of bands live and he on the bass is flat out impressive. I went for the music and Peart, but that guy plays the bass like a lead. Just flat out quick! Peart is known as the best drummer but I, as probably most do, forget that the bass player has to keep time with him/her and for a band to work they must at least be close to quality to eachother. I'm not the biggest Rush fan, but the concert was pretty awesome and so was Geddy.

I'll go out on a limb and say Les of Primus is just as good as any mentioned above. Styles vary, of course, but come on, Les is got it going on like Donkey Kong!

Listen to "My Name Is Mud", and tell me that doesn't rock for a bass line.
